The 10 Steps
A guided somatic session for emotion regulation
You know the moment when an emotion gets too big to hold. The urge to shut down, numb out, or fall into an old coping pattern that worked once and stopped helping a long time ago. The 10 Steps of Emotion Regulation is not a philosophy for understanding that moment, it is a structure for moving through it: a guided somatic session that walks you step by step through dysregulation, so you can process what was suppressed and bring balance back into your system.
The audio is 28 minutes, with the full practice typically taking 30 to 45 minutes including pauses. The same work I do in sessions, available whenever you need it.

Most emotional work assumes you already know what to do once you feel something.
Sit with it. Breathe through it. Let it move. But when an emotion is actually too big to handle, none of that is specific enough to follow.
This is a structure for exactly that moment. Ten steps, in order, that take you from the instant an emotion overwhelms you, the urge to shut down, numb out, or fall into an old coping pattern, to the moment you understand what it was carrying. That response is not a failure to cope, it is simply what happens when a feeling arrives with nowhere clear to go.
This guided somatic session meets emotions as they are, without judgment or force, following the same arc I use with clients in my practice as a psychologist. The audio is 28 minutes, with the full practice typically taking 30 to 45 minutes including pauses. Not a philosophy of emotional health, a sequence you can actually use, every time you need it.
What this session does
This is a guided audio session, body-based and trauma-informed, following the same method I use with clients in my practice as a psychologist. You move through each step in order: noticing the dysregulation, locating it in your body, observing what is actually there, staying present with it, listening to what it is communicating, giving it a voice, finding the core feeling beneath the first one, returning to a sense of safety, finding the unmet need, and reflecting on what it asks of you next.
Each step builds on the one before it. None of them are optional, and none of them require you to already understand what you are feeling before you begin.
Why somatic work matters here
When an emotion is too big, the problem is rarely a lack of awareness. It is not knowing what comes next. Insight on its own leaves you exactly as overwhelmed as before, just with better language for it. What helps is a sequence: a next step that is always available, regardless of which emotion you are in or how intense it has become. That is what this framework gives you, every time, for any emotion.
A note before you begin
You do not need to know what you are feeling before you start. You do not even need to be calm. You only need to be willing to follow the steps, one at a time, and let the structure do what insight alone cannot.
That is what The 10 Steps is for.
A guided audio session, available the moment you purchase. You can stream or download it, and return to it as many times as you like.
Find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed. Sit or lie down, press play, and follow the audio. Headphones aren't required, but they help you stay with it.
No. You don't need the right words, or a clear memory, or a story ready to tell. This works directly with the body, not with what you can already explain.
Yes. Most people return to it more than once, especially when the pattern it works with gets activated again. It's yours to keep.
No. It's a practical tool drawn from the same somatic approach used in clinical work, meant to use on your own or alongside therapy, not instead of it when ongoing support is needed.

One session. Repeatable. Available the moment you need it — which is often not when you planned it.
