About The Author
“Why Am I the Right Person to Guide You Through This Transformation?”
Hello there! I am Myrthe Glasbergen (MSc.), psychologist and founder of Beyond Psychology, social critic, and someone deeply committed to helping people unlearn the conditioning that has kept them small, silent, and disconnected from their true selves.
I know what it’s like to live under the weight of shame. To constantly question your worth, overthink every decision, silence your needs, and try to earn love and belonging by being “good”, “helpful”, or “not too much”.
For years, I believed that something was wrong with me – that I had to prove my value in order to be accepted.
And I’ve worked with over 500+ people who came to me feeling the exact same way:
👉🏼 Exhausted by people-pleasing.
👉🏼 Terrified to take up space.
👉🏼 Trapped in cycles of guilt, overgiving, and never quite feeling “enough”.
👉🏼 And deeply disconnected from their own emotions.
Most of them didn’t realize that unworthiness isn’t a personal flaw – it’s a learned identity.
They were never broken.
They were just taught to believe they had to earn their worth.
I’ve walked this path myself. I’ve had to face my shame, reclaim my voice, and learn that my worth isn’t conditional.
I created Unshame Yourself because I know what’s possible when we stop believing the lies we were taught – and start remembering who we really are.
What I Believe:
🔥 I believe unworthiness is not the truth of who you are – it’s a story you’ve inherited.
🔥 I believe shame is what keeps us disconnected from our voice, our needs, and our power.
🔥 I believe in helping you reclaim your self-worth – not just intellectually – but in real, embodied ways.
🔥 I believe the world doesn’t need more of the same or ‘perfection’ – it needs more authenticity, vulnerability, and truth.
You are not broken.
You’re not “too sensitive” or “too much”
You do not need to be “fixed.”
You’ve simply been shaped by a world that taught you to shrink – and now it’s time to break free.
I would be honored to walk this journey with you.
