What this practice does

Fear of abandonment often develops early in life and can quietly shape how you relate to others. It may keep you stuck in anxious attachment, emotional distance, people pleasing, or fear of being fully yourself. This somatic exercise helps you gently meet the pain that created this fear, listen to what it carries, and begin integrating it at its root.

By allowing suppressed emotions to move through the body, space opens for deeper self trust, emotional safety, and connection.

How it works

Through guided somatic awareness, you are invited to feel into the sensations and emotions connected to abandonment fear. You will trace them back to earlier experiences where connection felt uncertain or unsafe, and gently process what was never fully felt at the time. As the wounded part that carries this fear is acknowledged and integrated, your system can begin to relax into closeness again.

What is a somatic exercise

A somatic exercise uses the body as an entrance to the subconscious. Instead of talking about fear from the mind, you work directly with sensation, emotion, and memory as they are held in the body. This allows abandonment wounds to be addressed at their origin, rather than managed or overridden.
