Today I would like to shed another light on anger. We often think of aggression or destruction, but there are many nonlinear ways to use and explore this emotion.
Ways that can only be discovered if you are willing to let go of control, which is one of the hardest things for us humans to do. Especially when growing up in modern culture.
How Modern Culture Suppresses Our Expression
Modern culture has taught and praised us to keep ourselves together, to be rational, polite and predictable as the dedicated good girls and boys that we were expected to be.
And somehow we are getting stuck into the role of being good and predictable, not knowing how to be something else without getting punished or worse: abandoned.
At the same time we have this yearning, this silent longing for change, for chaos or for something to happen that will disrupt everything.
But we all know that waiting for change outside of us leads to disappointment. So what if we start taking our power back today?
Anger as a Path to Liberation
Our anger energy gives us the courage to break free from these modern patterns. It can help us discover desires that we might not even recognize anymore. Because our true desires are not in our heads, they are in our bodies.
Modern culture is a mental concept forcing us to move our energy into a mental perception of reality. And since it’s a forced concept, we constantly are under pressure to fit into the current image of what is ‘right’. This rigid framework makes us stiff, insecure and judgmental.
And, it’s keeping us from who we truly are.
How do you break free?
The key is by allowing yourself to open up to all the oppressed gates of expression and feelings inside of you.
This could mean expressing emotions, sounds, movements, opinions and desires you never knew you had.
- What if you would express everything you hate about this world?
- What if you allowed yourself to feel different emotions at the same time and let it happen?
- What if you actually knew what you truly desired in your sexual life?
- What if you made ugly sounds and movements simply because you want to?
We are wired to stay safe, it’s simply the job of our brain to stick to the known.
But our hearts are designed to trust the unknown fields of life, so we can dive deeper into who we are.
To get to know yourself, you have to be okay with losing it for a while. For not knowing or understanding what you are doing, or why you are doing it.
It takes courage to show up for ourselves and to be bold enough to say: I want more. Because somewhere deep down, we know that more is possible.

The Choice to Be Yourself
Every day we get to make a choice if we choose to fit into a concept or to be ourselves. And it takes time to redesign our lives into a more authentic shape, and that’s normal.
It’s about the bigger and smaller choices we can make throughout the day, the month, the year. And about allowing ourselves to be swept away by the power of our bodies. Because even when we think we’re going crazy, our bodies know exactly what they’re doing.
What can you do today that is a little different than any other day? What can you say, move, feel that you normally hold back? I am curious to see the real you!
